Welcome to Leash Free Milton

We are a registered Non Profit Organization completely run by valued volunteers. Our mission is to encourage responsible dog ownership and foster a sense of community and friendship among our patrons.
This 2 Year Pilot Project was granted by the Town of Milton on 2 acres of land on 4th Line just south of the Go Train Line and has been named “Central Bark “

With paved and well lit parking for 30 vehicles, 2 fenced acres of common area, a kids safety zone, a 10x50’ alternate dog area for those who cannot or should not run with the others, trees and picnic tables, we are sure you will find this to be great place to exercise your dog and meet new friends.

Here are some comments received by us about etiquette...

• Please allow people in the double doors to enter or leave and close the door before the next person goes through
• Please do not keep your dog on leash or held up in you arms above the others inside the park... it makes them a target for the others.
• Please- Please we strongly urge parents to keep small children in the kids’ area!! For their own safety.  This is a dog park not a children's area. Dogs have the right of way here and owners should not have to be watchful of children here.  You cannot possible know the history, personality or past experiences of the dogs you may encounter. It only take a second for a child to be knocked over or worse by dogs running and playing in "Pack Mode"... not the same as at home where they know the rules. We do want anyone to be hurt or frightened.
  
  We are working on purchasing a shade shelter or two for the summer and hopefully will find some sturdy enough to withstand the windy conditions.
